Exploiting authentic texts - French - Les All Blacks champions du monde de Rugby

A fairly short post, but packed full of free resources. You can easily produce your own interactive and print resources like those below - based on authentic texts, news stories etc. It's so quick and easy to do with TaskMagic3. Here's what I did...

I made a TaskMagic3 Mix&Gap file based on a news story from BBC Afrique.

I printed out 11 worksheets as pdf documents using doPDF - http://www.dopdf.com

I clicked a button to automatically convert the "Find the French" questions and answers into a TextMatch file, and printed out a pdf matching worksheet, also using doPDF.

I converted the 12 pdf worksheets into 1 pdf file using MergePDF - http://foxyutils.com/mergepdf/#

See below. Simply scroll through the pdf file to access the various printable activities. The activities are:

1. Matching vocab
2. Find the French
3. 8 Tiles
4. 1 in 3
5. 15 Tiles
6. 24 Tiles
7. Gap-fill (with word list)
8. Long gaps (clause or sentence gaps)
9. Prompt gaps (no word list, but prompt for each gap)
10. Context gaps (no word list - only one possible answer)
11. Space (re-write the text with spaces and punctuation)
12. Anagrams (unscramble all of the words to re-write the text)

The Mix&Gap file, from which most of the pdfs were printed, provides access to 18 interactive exercises.
