Exploiting a past exam paper: French GCSE Higher Reading

The resources below are all based on the texts of the AQA GCSE French Higher Reading paper from June 2010. Here's a link to the paper on the AQA website.

Each question from the GCSE paper was made into a TaskMagic3 Mix and Gap file.

There are 8 questions on the paper.

Questions 1 to 6 have question types that have been directly replicated in TaskMagic. You'll see below that for these questions there is a link to a main file and also a link to an individual exercise (and a worksheet) that replicates the question format from the exam paper.

Questions 7 and 8 have English questions requiring English answers, so it hasn't been possible to replicate these question types in TaskMagic. However, the main file created for each of these questions provides a wide range of exercises which practise the language of each text. I've also made a couple of additional individual exercise files (and worksheets) for these questions.

If you open the main file (with the .mtx3 extension) for any of the questions, you'll have access to multiple interactive exercises, plus a load more worksheets.

It's really easy to make exercises like the ones above based on any text, including texts taken from past exam papers.

If you've previously trialled TM3 and would like to trial it again, that's now possible by arrangement. Also, if you'd like to arrange a longer trial period, that's now possible too. See the information at the bottom of the page at http://www.mdlsoft.co.uk/trialdownloads.htm
